I’m not gonna lie, Barbican is one of my favourite places in the world. So when I saw this gorgeous fun wedding I was like ”hell yeah!!”.
TELL US THE STORY OF HOW YOU MET
A proper old fashioned blind date. Craig’s sister-in-law and Prat’s former house mate are cousins and set us up. Prat had seen a work photo of Craig, but Craig had not even seen a picture of Prat. We arranged to meet at Covent Garden Tube Station, and on the day Craig texted Prat to ask what he looked like. The response was ‘I’d like to say I’m a young, tall guy, but I’m an older Indian gentleman with grey hair’. Craig thought he was going on a date with Penfold (but named Prat!) and was expecting the worst date of his life. Luckily, the reality was very different, and they got on incredibly well (and drank two pitchers of Margaritas!) and it went from there…
What a wonderful, original wedding with gorgeous brides and viking traditions was sent over by Tove Lundquist !! I absolutely love how Åsa and Nina used their common interest to create this original day and their friends and family joined the celebrations in a true Viking style.
HOW DID YOU MEET?
We had been in the same meditation group for a year when we became a couple. We had found the other one attractive but not done anything about it since we were both in other relationships at the time. But when we finally let our emotions guide us, there was no return. Within two months we were living together.
This beautiful destination wedding was sent over by Yohann and Tristan’s photographer – Vanja Melnik. Not only location is gorgeous but wedding is full of beautiful decorations and touches. Read what grooms told us about their big day.
HOW DID YOU MEET?
We met on a sunny summer’s day in London’s Hyde Park at a picnic gathering. We met again a few weeks later and it grew in something very special that is our loving marriage today. Marriage had never really been on the cards to start with. Yet after nine years of our love for one another growing every day, Tristan popped the question whilst on holiday in Los Cabos, Mexico and pulled all the romantic strings.
CEREMONY AND RECEPTION LOCATIONS
Yohann being French and Tristan being British, we had to decide where to get married. We found equally stunning places in both countries. So it came down to which was the most convenient in order to have our close family and friends able to attend. It came down to the size of the family. The French won, being 3 times the size of the British family. Both the symbolic ceremony and the wedding reception were held in the stunning Domaine de la Corbe, in the heart of Vendee, western France. We fell in love with the manor, its stables and gorgeous grounds. Even if it is a chateau, the venue still had a rural feel to it, which reminded us both of our childhood. And since we both had a fairly rustic upbringing, the theme of our wedding could only be country chic.
A beautiful sunny day, Islington Town Hall and fun reception at the Frederick’s. Just a great wedding full of colours shared with us by the photographer Beatrix Fuhrmann.
Look at these guys! We absolutely love their wedding and pictures shot during their walk in South Bank, they are hilarious. Take a look at pictures taken by Rhapsody Road Photography, and read what they told us about their big day.
HOW DID YOU MEET?
We met each other on the Worldwide web! It was New Years Day 2011, we chatted online and decided to meet that evening. The rest is history! We started dating straight away and I, David, moved in with Pete on April Fools day 2011!
In November 2012 we went to Australia to meet Pete’s family who live in the Hunter Valley area of New South Wales. We arranged an additional trip to visit the Great Barrier Reef. To my surprise, Pete proposed at a waterfall inside the rainforest in Queensland-just the two of us. It was super romantic and amazing.
We chose shoes by Crocket & Jones because we wanted high quality goodyear welted men’s footwear and it does not get better than this.
We picked shoes shaped the same but I had lace ups and Pete chose buckles so they did not look identical even though we knew they were the same shape.
Our personalized cuff links were from Links of London. David’s were engraved D&P and Pete’s P&D. We had the same engraving inside our wedding rings along with ‘May 2017’
Finding straightforward high quality men’s wedding bands was harder than we thought. Wedding jewellery seems to be all about the ladies! A friend recommended Ritz Fine Jewellery and the service they provided was second to none and made both grooms feel like brides!
