STYLED SHOOT: MODERN SHOREDITCH ELOPEMENT

I’m seriously excited to share with you a shoot that is absolutely up my street! Gorgeous modern styling by Chenai, photography by uber talented Jo of Joasis Photography and some of the best locations in Shoreditch.
Check out the story and read the story behind the shoot from Chenai.

Tim and Ben are a real life couple who I chose to give this elopement inspiration shoot real warmth and intimacy. Jo from Joasis Photography helped us tell the full story of a city elopement, starting from the beautiful images of the the couple getting ready and having their ‘ceremony shots’ outside East London’s Shoreditch Town Hall and Clove Club – we then circled back to Callooh Callay Bar for what would be a small reception celebration.

Grooms’ styling

The boys wore their own suits but I added accessories to  their looks with  bow ties, braces and pocket squares from Le Colonel Mutard to complement their individual styles.

The welcome signage was designed by Esther from Sylvie Signs who really got the brief and set the tone for the cosy speakeasy feel of this intimate celebration.

Stationery

London Wedding Stationery made a monochrome stationary set with a  masculine bold type font to echo the welcome sign.  A simple invitation and place name cards with a black ribbon tag. The words ‘Nothing Fancy Just Love’ are on the invite and are a key  part of his shoot, no big party and heavy styling, just the real emotion and warm details where required.

Table styling

A small arrangement of beautiful dusty pink roses with a  few yellow Billy button flowers from Bloom of the block was the centrepiece for the table. The Billy buttons also served as the button hole flowers, simple but very impactful and photographed beautifully against the grooms suits.

I custom made black and copper  take away boxes with  the chopsticks to do away with the formality of traditional wedding dining  (and because they both really love noodles)

Cake

Katie from Malarkey Cakes provided a beautiful mini copper cake, picking up on the table and room decor. She created marbled chocolate shards to top it off.

Callooh Callay has a unique and colourful interior and lots of Mirrored walls which Jo navigated brilliantly.

We then finished the shoot in the upstairs bar where the neon sign behind the bar, aptly asks ‘What are we gonna do now’ to the newly married couple.
