Photographer John Clark shared with us this romantic engagement shoot he did with Christopher and John.
TELL US THE STORY OF HOW YOU MET
Christopher& I met on Grindr (we like to think we are proof it’s not always hopeless) lol we met in October 2013 and shared 10 dates in 2 weeks . We knew from the start it was the real deal.
WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION FOR THIS SHOOT?
Our engagement shoot was left in the capable hands of John and he planned it all and we loved it …it was edgy and a bit different which we loved. He had us write letters to each other in secret and handed us the letters to read aloud and that’s when the magic started…he captured some amazing moments
TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR WEDDING
Our theme for the day was Glamour and Romance, we knew we wanted blush pinks and pastel colours we wanted a feeling of grandeur and wanted people to gasp when they seen the decor ( and we hope we achieved that). We wanted a day everyone would remember and our suppliers were amazing, they all worked together so well.
Ingliston was the only venue we viewed.. My friend had got married there the year before and we just loved the location and the warm feeling we had when we visited.
On the big day the room was absolutely buzzing the staff at Ingliston commented on how they could feel genuine love from all our guests. After 3 years of planning to see everything come together was truly overwhelming it really was the best day of our lives.
Ingliston could not have done anymore for us in the run up to our big day and on the day itself we were OCD about every detail but nothing was ever a trouble. They make you feel like friends not just a customer all the staff are so professional and helpful. We have returned to the venue for various events etc since our wedding and it always feels like home …the venue will always hold a special place in our hearts…Biggest thank you to Ian Maxwell aka “uncle Ian”
